The Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) are delighted to invite you to apply for our prestigious Laura Bush Scholarship, designed to support talented and ambitious women in pursuing their academic goals. This year, we are opening this scholarship opportunity to women who are seeking a higher education degree, such as a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. The same requirements apply. GPA for an undergraduate degree.

Qualifying Criteria for Applicants

• High school senior in the 2026 – 2027 academic year with a minimum GPA of 3.5
• A registered Republican
• Applicant must be a legal citizen and resident of Arizona
• Must have applied to a private or public post-secondary educational institution or trade school 
• Applicant personal statement and resume
• Two (2) letters of recommendation

How to Apply

Applicants must submit via email a completed application form, a personal statement, resume and both recommendation letters. 

Important Dates

• Application Opens: October 1, 2026
• Application Deadline: January 13, 2027
• Recipients Announced: by phone call February 1, 2027
• Presentation of scholarship at February state meeting 2027
